Lakeside Park Playground
We're getting new playground equipment at Lakeside Park!
Help us choose the new design
Lakeside Park is a focal point in Kingsville and has one of our most prominent playgrounds. The existing play structure has served our community well.
Why replace it at all?
After twenty years of wear and tear, playground sections are falling apart, and many replacement parts are no longer available. Council approved a new playground in the 2024 budget, which will be installed this fall.
Steps taken so far
We received bids from four reputable companies and chose the top 3 designs that met the project scope, budget, and accessibility requirements.

This playground showcases a vibrant color scheme with green, teal, and blue. It includes multiple climbing features, two slides, spinning elements, and an accessible ramp. The playground also offers inclusive features such as cognitive and tactile sensory options. Additionally, a shaded swing area is available for kids to enjoy.

With an emphasis on accessibility, this playground features inclusive design and color distinctions such as purple, yellow, and blue. It includes swings, a saw horse, and additional fun factors like sliding, spinning, and cognitive play elements. The playground also features an accessible ramp with both accessible and inclusive features.
