Recreation and Events (5-Year Plan)

The Town of Kingsville is developing a Recreation Programs and Events Action Plan to support the Kingsville 2040 Strategic Plan. This survey aims to better understand residents' expectations for recreational programming and events led or supported by the Town.  

Recreational activities and events provide opportunities for residents to be active, encourage social interactions, and contribute to the vibrancy of the community. The Town's recreation role addresses community needs that the private sector alone cannot meet.  

This role has financial implications. Implementing a full cost recovery model through user fees would make programs and events cost-prohibitive for people to attend. The Town currently dedicates 3% of its municipal tax levy to Recreational Programming and Events, which amounts to approximately $64 per year for the average household. We want your feedback on where we should prioritize our future investments to make Kingsville a great place to live.

The results from the survey are confidential and will be used to guide program planning over the next five years. The survey will take approximately 10 minutes.
