Consultation has concluded

Kingsville Council is working with Administration to develop a new plan to guide decisions and actions about the future of Kingsville. This new Strategic Plan will create a vision for long-term (until 2040) and specific steps we will take towards this vision during the remaining three years of Council's term.

Jeff Fielding and Kate Graham from Colliers Project Leaders are guiding the process. Jeff is a longtime municipal administrator and Kate is a municipal government professor. They have worked with dozens of municipalities with a particular interest in strategic planning.

What we've done so far:

  • A careful review of Kingsville's current context: past strategic plans and other essential documents,
  • An analysis of how the community and municipality have changed, and a series of interviews,
  • Council met to review this work in early September 2023 and began identifying key areas of focus, vision and mission. An initial public engagement exercise occurred in the summer of 2023 (called "Imagine Kingsville"), the ideas submitted on this project page were used to inform discussions with Council as part of this first workshop.
  • A second workshop was held in early October 2023.

What's next?

We want to hear from residents - you! - as we continue building this plan and thinking about the future. Please take our survey and tell us about your experience in Kingsville and the things that matter most to you for the future.
